Sneaky Snake Update
Said serpent made another appearance - it was his last. I cannot thank our little dog Romeo enough for alerting us to this! (This already pampered pup has really been rewarded now!) He headed him over to an awaiting glue board which I'm thankful for. Then Hubby My Hero took care of the rest. I'm shuddering still as I type this. Gawd! I'm sorry to offend any who think that all of God's creatures be let loose, but I knew if he got in once, he'd do it again, and I've spent some really miserable uneasy days on the lookout. This thing was 30" long and about as big around as your finger - black snake, non-poisonous but if it can cause cardiac arrest, still deadly to me. I'm off to take my boots off for the first time in several days.

Glad you got your snake. I had a bull snake come in our house while we were on vacation. I came in the evaporative cooler. I knew it was harmless, but I didn't like living with that slithering creature. Glad things are better for you now. I love your header!!!
Hugs, Pat

Hi Tammy! Just wanted to stop by and say a big THANK YOU for the sweet message you left on my blog about the broken china jewelry. I was tickled to read your comment and I think about the past history of those plates too. Your blog is darling!! I love the snake story...hate snakes but love how you wrote about yours. I find them on our back patio but so far, not in the house - I'd be screaming like a girl too if I found one indoors : ) Thanks again and have a beautiful day ~ xo Joy
Hi Tammy,
Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. I was having rough day of it yesterday and was feeling quite sad, but I am much more my old positive self today and feeling much better. (Much of it due to all my blog friends and their prayers and positive attitude!) I'm sorry to hear you are in a similar situation. I do believe we are going to be okay....
hugs,
Karen

Have a great week,

You know what, I'm an animal lover and not afraid of snakes, but I wouldn't want it in my house, either! Your house is your territory, and just the same as an animal outside chases off an unwanted intruder, you have just as much right to do so in your own home.
Let's home this is the last of any summer 'visitors,' LOL!
Congratulations! you won the handmade soaps on my blog! Please send me an email with your name and address and I will mail them out to you! cindy95131@yahoo.com
I just found your blog and what a story you have! OMG! Don't feel bad - my son in law came home and my daughter opened the garage door to the house to say hi and as he pulled up the garage door a huge snake fell on him!! He thought Megan was playing a trick on him and had put a fake snake to fall on him... she blogged about it here http://missmadisonscharmedlife.blogspot.com/2010/05/after-hard-day-at-work-im-pretty-sure.html if you want to read about it. Pretty huge snake!
EEK! I'm glad you caught it pretty fast! I hate critters! Nice to meet you too, btw! Suzie
Hey there, I think your site might be having browser
compatibility issues. When I look at your blog site in Safari,
it looks fine but when opening in Internet Explorer, it has some
overlapping. I just wanted to give you a quick
heads up! Other then that, awesome blog!
